Portuguese Property prices staidly going up
Portuguese property keeps showing the grow in prices. According to the National Statistics Institute (INE), the value of residential property increased by 5.6% in January 2017 compared to the same period last year.
Comparing to December, house prices rose by € 6 per "square" (which is 0.5%). The decline in housing values has been marked only in the islands of Azores and Madeira.
The north of the country got more expensive - prices increased by 6.2% in January 2017 compared with January 2016 – and this is the most significant index for the whole of Portugal.
