Foreigners show double interest to Cyprus properties
Sales of Cyprus property to foreigners rose by more than 50% in February 2017, despite the overall decline in the number of transactions, says the international real estate portal The Move Channel, referring to official figures from the Department of Lands and Surveys
The overseas buyers are taking advantage of the current situation as the Cyprus property market shows rapid improve during the past year.
Despite the decline in the number of deals in February, foreigners still made up to 50% more transactions than last year. Overseas buyers made 22 % of transactions totally.
Famagusta was the leader by the number of transactions (46%), followed by Paphos (13%), Nicosia (8%), Larnaca (7%) and Limassol (1%).
